SO: to speak

Last Saturday I did a talk with my colleague and former WSA PhD buddy  Walter van Rijn as part of Southampton’s SO: to speak festival. The blurb is here.

I read/ showed some found and some of my own descriptions, including the epic patrons-watch-an-activist.jpeg.

Walter talked about his being human font and read/showed some of his texts. The commonalities between our work in terms of the poetics of archiving, administrative language and repetition successfully unfolded as we worked.

We attracted a small but very well-informed and engaged audience and it turned out to be an informal and very worthwhile event – one that Walter and I want to build on.  A small publication of the texts we performed is to follow.
